We’d love to have you visit us at The Crafty Squirrel!

Our storefront is located in an old corner store built around 1885 on the corner of Errard & Urquhart Streets, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.

We are OPEN every Thursday & Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Over the course of the year - the shop sometimes closes whilst we run our Craft Retreats in Australia and our Crafty Tours in Japan (and other countries) and travel the world to source new treasures! We do everything we can to let you know well in advance when we will be closed. Please double check before visiting that we will be open - particularly if you are coming from outside Ballarat.

Please note we will be CLOSED on the following days in 2025:

India - 30 & 31 Jan and 1,6,7 & 8 Feb

Tokyo - 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26 April

Bali - 13, 14, 19, 20, 21 June

Hobart - 31 July and 1 & 2 August

France - 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20 September

Kyoto - 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25 October

We love Christmas here at The Crafty Squirrel and to celebrate we open 7 days a week from Thursday 27 November - Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday & Sunday 10am to 4pm.

The last day of trading for 2025 will be Sunday 21 December. The shop then takes a summer holiday and re-opens for trading on Thursday 29 January 2026
